There’s nothing like a tropical breeze, your toes in the sand and the Hawaiian sun shining down on your face. While we can’t be at the beach every day, our new ‘Tropical – Huli-Huli’ blend with savory-sweet flavors of teriyaki and pineapple will instantly transport you to a tropical paradise. Huli Huli chicken was created in 1955 in Hawaii, when a man named Ernest Morgado started selling grilled chicken with his mother’s secret recipe teriyaki-like sauce. ‘Huli’ is the Hawaiian word for ‘turn’, which was yelled out by onlookers when the chicken needed to be rotated on the spit – thus ‘Huli Huli’ stuck! While we don’t know what exactly made up the secret, irresistible sauce, it’s typically a combination of savory, sweet flavors like soy, garlic, ginger, citrus, and smoky pineapple — just like our blend.

‘Tropical – Huli-Huli’ is the perfect seasoning to introduce to some of your favorite dinners and sides. Our ‘Huli-Huli Meat Balls’ switch-up your classic finger food or sandwich filler with its glazed sweet and savory sauce, perfect for game day or a cookout with friends. The ‘Hawaiian Pulled Pork’ and ‘Huli Huli Chicken Skewers’ re-invent summer classics with a tropical twist, becoming the star of the show. These dishes surely let our ‘Huli Huli’ blend shine and hope to inspire some tropical flavor creativity in your own kitchen.
