CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, MAY 21, 2021 – Megan Marshall is a new member of LifeSpice’s R&D team based in our Chicago office as a Culinary Scientist. Megan has experience working with clean label frozen food, salty snacks and vegan and gluten free products, as well as past restaurant industry experience as a chef. Megan’s background working with packaged goods provides her with a great skillset for contributing to the LifeSpice team.
Before joining LifeSpice as a Culinary Scientist, Megan was at Conagra where she developed snacks after studying Culinary Nutrition and Food Science at Johnson & Wales in Denver, Colorado. When asked why she enjoys working in food science, Megan says it gives her the ability to bring nutritious, shelf-stable foods with good flavor profiles to those who may not have access to them normally. Exemplifying the success in achieving this goal, Megan had a hand in developing a few meat-free Gardein skillet meal products that were recognized by the VegNews Awards for their sustainable attributes.
Megan’s responsibilities at LifeSpice are R&D driven, tasked with creating spice blends and working with the Marketing and Sales teams in organizing and building presentations. At LifeSpice, Megan looks forward to working with different kinds of food and food companies, and says she wants to create trending flavor profiles and what will be popular on store shelves, adding “I am excited to work on innovative flavor profiles and introduce new eating experiences to consumers”. Megan looks forward to expanding her knowledge of food science and working with the LifeSpice team to develop great flavor concepts for our customers and their clients.
