Smokin’ Grilled Cheese & Bloody Mary

Smokin' Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Recipe: Natallia Nice

Ingredients

  • 2 slices White Bread
  • Mayonnaise (for spreading on the outside of bread)
  • ½ cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Smokin’ Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Butter for the pan

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Sprinkle the Smokin’ seasoning over the cheese and mix well to distribute evenly.
  2. Lay both slices of white bread on a clean surface. Spread a thin, even layer of mayonnaise on the outside of each slice (these will be the sides that touch the pan).
  3. Flip the bread slices over so the non-mayo sides are facing up. Pile the seasoned cheese mixture on one slice, distributing it evenly. Place the second slice of bread on top, mayo-side up.
  4. Melt butter in a skillet or pan over medium-low heat.
  5. Once the butter is melted and slightly bubbling, carefully place the sandwich in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Using a spatula, carefully flip the sandwich over and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese inside is completely melted.
  7. Remove from heat, let cool for 30 seconds, then cut diagonally and serve immediately, or use it as a garnish for your Bloody Mary cocktail.
