Seasonings Greetings Rugelach

Ingredients

For dough

  • 250 G AP Flour
  • .5 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 225 G Unsalted Butter, room temp
  • 225 G Cream Cheese, room temp

For Filling

  • Favorite jam for filling (we like apricot or raspberry)
  • LifeSpice Seasonings Greetings for Filling

For Topping

  • Melted butter for brushing
  • Granulated sugar for finishing

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Using a stand mixer, cream the butter and cream cheese together. Add the flour mixture and gently beat until combined.
  2. Divide the dough into two equal portions, flatten into discs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper (or preferably a silicon baking mat).
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one disc of dough into a 10-12 inch circle, about 1/8 inch thick. Spread a thin layer of jam over the dough. Sprinkle with the LifeSpice Seasonings Greetings seasoning.
  5. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, divide the circle into 16 wedges, like slicing a pizza. Starting at the wide end of each wedge, roll toward the narrow point to form a crescent shape.
  6. Place the rugelach on the prepared baking sheet, point side down, spacing them 1 inch apart. Brush each rugelach with melted butter and sugar.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and backed through.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
