Blood Orange Bubbly

Ingredients

Seasonings Greetings simple Syrup

  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1-2 Tbs. LifeSpice Seasonings Greetings Seasoning
  • 1-2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1.5 oz Freshly Squeezed Blood Orange Juice
  • 1 oz Seasonings Greetings Simple Syrup
  • 1/4 C Sparkling Blood Orange Soda
  • Blood Orange Slice, for garnish
  • Fresh Rosemary, for garnish

Method

Seasonings Greetings simple Syrup

  1. Prepare your simple syrup by combining ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer while stirring to dissolve all of the sugar. Allow to cool while infusing with the rosemary and seasoning. Strain and store for use.

  1. Prepare your blood orange juice by juicing about half of a blood orange and straining to remove any pulp. Set aside.
  2. In a shaker, combine vodka, blood orange juice, and the prepared Seasonings Greetings simple syrup. Add ice, and shake.
  3. To a wine or spritz glass, add ice and pour drink from shaker. 
  4. Top with sparkling blood orange soda to preference, or about 1/4 Cup. 
  5. Garnish with blood orange wheel and a fresh rosemary sprig. Enjoy!

Seasonings Greetings Old Fashioned

Ingredients

Seasonings Greetings simple Syrup

  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1-2 Tbs. LifeSpice Seasonings Greetings Seasoning
  • 1-2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary

Old Fashioned Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon Whisky
  • 1/4 oz Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 2-3 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Orange Peel (for garnish and zest)
  • 1-2 Maraschino Cherries (Luxardo Cherries recommended)

Method

Seasonings Greetings simple Syrup

  1. Prepare your simple syrup by combining ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer while stirring to dissolve all of the sugar. Allow to cool while infusing with the rosemary and seasoning. Strain and store for use.

Old Fashioned

  1. In a rocks glass, add the bitters and simple syrup.
  2. Pour in the whiskey, stirring gently to combine with the bitters and syrup.
  3. Add a large ice cube or a few smaller cubes to the glass.
  4. Express the oils from an orange peel by holding it over the glass and giving it a slight twist. Rub the peel along the rim, then drop it in. Add the maraschino cherry.
  5. Stir lightly to chill. Enjoy your Old Fashioned!
