CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, SEPTEMBER 17, 2021 – LifeSpice welcomes Bianca Roberts to the Quality team as a Quality Assurance Specialist in our Chicago office. Bianca’s background is in food safety and quality, including experience working with suppliers, specifications, and documentation. Bianca’s excitement about sensory and ingredients make her a great addition to the LifeSpice team.
Bianca began her career in the food industry at Home Chef upon graduating from the University of Connecticut, where she managed suppliers, reviewed ingredient specifications, and served as a bridge between supply chain, the fulfillment centers’ FSQA teams and their corporate FSQA team. These communication and organizational skills will help Bianca transition into her role as a member of LifeSpice’s quality department, where she will have the additional opportunity of experimenting in our test kitchen with our culinary team.
At LifeSpice, Bianca works with Quality, Supply Chain and R&D teams on sensory testing, product and vendor set-up and some documentation. She has always found sensory projects to be the most interesting, as she prefers a hands-on approach in working directly with ingredients. When asked what she is looking forward to most about being a member of the LifeSpice team, she says, “I look forward to learning more about the creation to commercialization process of spices and seasonings”, emphasizing her interest in learning about the entire production process, from sourcing ingredients to blending flavors and bringing a final product to our customers. LifeSpice will be a great place for Bianca’s interest in ingredients, food safety and sensory to grow.
