Natallia’s Savory Meat Pies

Recipe: Natallia Nice


For the Dough:

  • 3 C All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 t Salt
  • 2 T Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Sticks Cold Butter, cubed
  • 3 1/2 T Sour Cream
  • 1/4 C Cold Water

For the Filling:

  • 2 lbs Beef Chuck
  • 1/2 lbs Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Carrot
  • LifeSpice’s Awesome Anything Seasoning, to taste

For Assembly: 

  • 2 Eggs


For Filling:

  1. Preheat sous-vide to 180 F.
  2. Cut the vegetables.
  3. Season meat and vegetables with Awesome Anything seasoning.
  4. Place it in the sous-vide bag and cook it for 24 hours.
  5. Pull the meat apart and cool it down.

For Dough:

  1. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and butter in Kitchen Aid Mixer with paddle attachment. You should still be able to see the small particles of butter.
  2. Add sour cream, mix. Add water, until the dough comes together (you might not need all of it).
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour before assembling the pies.


  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. Roll the dough to the desired shape.
  3. Fill with meat.
  4. Brush egg wash on top of dough.
  5. Bake 15 min at 400 F, lower the temperature to 350 F and finish baking them for another 10-15 min, until golden brown color.
