Charred Lemon & Chili Pasta

  • 1/2 lbs. Dried Bucatini
  • 4 Tbs. Butter
  • 1-2 Lemons, depending on taste
  • 1/8 cup Parmesan Cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1-2 tsp. LifeSpice Charred Lemon & Chili Seasoning
  • Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1 pint Cherry Tomatoes (if desired)
  • 3 handfuls Arugula (if desired)

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil over medium high heat.
  2. While water is coming to boil, blister tomatoes in a tablespoon of olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat (if desired). Once tomatoes have softened and begin to color, add handfuls of arugula and wilt over low heat (if desired).
  3. Once water boils, season generously with salt and add bucatini. Cook to just al dente, as the pasta will finish cooking in the saucepan.
  4. In the saucepan, add butter and melt over medium heat, being careful not to brown. Once melted, add the zest and juice of lemons and LifeSpice Charred Lemon & Chili Seasoning.
  5. Once al dente, transfer pasta to saucepan, along with one ladle of pasta water. Cook over medium heat, moving constantly, until a silky sauce forms. If sauce is too tight, add more pasta water.
  6. Finish with parmesan cheese off heat, and serve immediately with more parmesan, cracked pepper, and lemon zest!
