CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, AUGUST 28, 2023 – LifeSpice is excited to welcome Delfin Onay to the R&D team as a Mix Technician based in our Chicago Headquarters. We’re thrilled to have Delfin bring her food science and culinary expertise to her new role at LifeSpice.
Delfin recently graduated from McGill University with a degree in Food Science, focusing on product development and flavor chemistry, which inspired her interest in R&D. In addition to her studies, Delfin has culinary experience working in the kitchen of a pizzeria and leading country club kitchens. At LifeSpice, Delfin will support our R&D team, blending seasonings for customer samples and commercialization. She is eager to learn from different departments as she begins her career in the food industry.
Delfin attributes her love for food science to being raised in a Middle Eastern home, where cooking with her family was a central part of her upbringing. Both of her parents are also scientists in different fields, which inspired her pursuit of a Food Science degree. In addition to cooking with her parents, baking is one of her favorite hobbies. She loves to bake cakes, specifically with Fall flavors like pumpkin and apple, and we can’t wait to try them! Her other favorite hobbies include reading, playing her guitar, and singing.
